Chapter 24
First Book of Dominos · Section 24 of 74 · 4 passages
1If the priest consecrates oil for the healing of those who suffer, let him quietly place the vessel before the altar and say:
2O Lord God, who has bestowed upon us the Spirit, the Paraclete, the Lord, and the saving and unshaken name, which is hidden from the foolish but revealed to the wise; O Christ, who sanctified us and in your mercy makes the servants whom you choose wise with your own wisdom; who sent the knowledge of your Spirit to us sinners through your holiness, bestowing upon us the power of the Spirit; who are the Healer of every sickness and every suffering; who gave the gift of healing to those whom you judged worthy of it: send upon this oil, which symbolizes your abundance, the delivering power of your good compassion. May it deliver those who labor, heal those who are sick, and sanctify those who return when they approach your faith. For you are mighty and worthy of praise forever and ever.
3The people say:
4Amen.
