Section 1

1The book that Jesus Christ revealed to his disciples, and how Jesus Christ revealed the book for the company of the apostles, the disciples of Jesus Christ, the book that is for all people. Simon and Cerinthus, the false apostles, concerning whom it is written that no one should cling to them, for there is deceit in them by which they bring people to destruction, so that you may be steadfast and neither flinch nor be troubled, and may not depart from the word of the Gospel that you have heard. Just as we heard it, we keep it in remembrance and have written it for the whole world. We commend you, our sons and daughters, in joy, in the name of God the Father, the Lord of the world, and of Jesus Christ. May grace be multiplied to you.
