Prologue

1In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the One God.

2This is the Synod of the Holy Apostles, and this is that which Clement wrote concerning his teacher Peter, and this is named the Canons of Abtilis, which were gathered above by his apostles for our Lord Jesus Christ, and their number is eighty-one canons.
