Chapter 29

First Book of Dominos · Section 29 of 74 · 1 passages

1Let a presbyter be ordained after receiving the testimony of all the people, according to what has been said before. He must be skilled in reading, meek, poor, not a lover of money, and one who has labored greatly in ministering to the weak. He must be proven pure and blameless, have been like a father to orphans, have ministered to the poor, and not have grown cold in his love for the Church. In all things he must be devout and quiet, so that he may be worthy in every respect to have the fitting and proper things revealed to him by God and may also be counted worthy of the gift of healing.
