Chapter 63

1Let the bishop bless the fruits offered to him in this way: O God, we always give thanks to you, especially on this day when we offer you the firstfruits of the fruits you have given us for food. By your power and your Word you have ripened them, having commanded from the beginning of the creation of the worlds that the earth should bring forth various fruits for the joy and delight of humankind and of all animals. We praise you, O Lord, for all these things with which you have benefited us, adorning the whole earth for us with various fruits. Bless also this servant of yours, and receive his devotion and love, through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ, through whom praise, honor, and might be to you with the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.
