1Canon 30.

2Let the bishop’s personal property be known, if he has property, and let God’s property be known. Thus, at the bishop’s death, his property may remain at his disposal and he may give it to whomever he wishes. The bishop’s property shall not be lost on account of the church’s property, whether the bishop has a wife, children, relatives, or servants.

3For it is not right that the property of the church be lost because the bishop’s property is not known. Neither should the bishop’s property and his relatives suffer loss on account of the church’s property, so that they fall into ṣoma and speak reproachfully concerning his death.
