Encounter at the Tomb

1When they arrived, they found that the tomb had been opened. They approached, bent down, and saw a certain young man sitting in the middle of the tomb. He was beautiful and wore a long, shining robe. He said to them, “Why have you come? Whom are you looking for? The one who was crucified? He has risen and gone away. But if you do not believe, bend down and look at the place where he was lying. He is not there, because he has risen and gone to the place from which he came.”

2Then the women were afraid and fled.
