Shorter Witness — Chapter 20: Salome’s Examination

1She went in and positioned her, and Salome examined her condition. Salome cried out, “I have tested the living God, and look! My hand is on fire and falling away from me!”

2She prayed to the Lord, and the midwife was healed in that hour.

3And look! An angel of the Lord stood toward Salome and said, “Your prayer has been heard before the Lord God. Go and touch the child, and you will receive salvation.”

4She did this, and Salome was healed. As she worshiped and left the cave, look! The voice of an angel of the Lord said, “Salome, Salome, report the wonderful things you have seen until the child comes into Jerusalem.”
