Revelation
Chapter 15
Revelation · Chapter 15 of 22 · 8 passages
1Then I saw another great and astonishing sign in heaven: seven angels carrying the last seven disasters. With these disasters, God’s fury would reach its end.
2I also saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire. Standing beside the glassy sea were those who had defeated the beast, its image, and the number representing its name. They held harps given by God.
3They sang the song of Moses, God’s servant, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and astonishing are your works, Lord God, ruler over all. Your ways are just and true, King throughout all ages.
4They continued, “Lord, who would not honor you with awe and praise your name? You alone are completely faithful to what is right. Every nation will come and worship before you, because your just decisions have been revealed.”
5After this I looked, and the temple in heaven opened—the sacred tent that holds the testimony of God’s covenant.
6The seven angels carrying the seven disasters came out of the temple. They wore clean, shining linen and had golden bands wrapped around their chests.
7One of the four living beings gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the fury of God, who lives forever and ever.
8The temple filled with smoke from God’s glorious presence and power. No one could enter it until the seven disasters carried by the seven angels had come to an end.
