Canon 44

1Abṭelis, Canon 44: If a layman takes a woman from another man's house, except for a valid reason, let him be removed from his office. And if he takes another woman in her place, and marries her, or if he takes a woman who has been abandoned, or who has been sent away from the church, let him be removed from his office.
