Chapter 50

1Let one who is instructed and hears with all care the perfection of the Gospel be instructed for no less than three years. If, with love, that person strives to be baptized, let that person then be baptized.

2But if that person is quiet, meek, earnest, persevering, and remains with the teacher, with labor, vigilance, confession, submission, and prayers, and desires to be baptized sooner, let that person be baptized. For it is not the time that is considered, but the will of faith.
