Section 3
Second Book of Dominos · Section 3 of 51 · 1 passages
1We know this: our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ is God, the Son of God, who was sent by God, the Lord of the whole world, its maker and creator, who is called by all names and is high above all powers, Lord of lords, King of kings, Ruler of rulers, the heavenly one who sits above the cherubim and seraphim at the right hand of the Father’s throne. By his word he made the heavens and formed the earth and what is in it. He set boundaries for the sea so that it should not pass them, and for the depths and springs so that they should gush forth and flow over the earth. He established day and night, the sun and the moon, and the stars in heaven. He separated light from darkness, called forth hell, and in the twinkling of an eye ordained the winter rain, the snow, the hail, the ice, and the days in their various seasons. He makes the earth quake and establishes it again. He created humanity in his own image and likeness, and he is declared by the fathers of old and the prophets, preached by the apostles, and touched by the disciples. We believe in God the Lord, the Son of God, that he is the Word made flesh; that he took a body from Mary, the holy virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit, not by the desire of the flesh but by the will of God; that he was wrapped in swaddling cloths in Bethlehem and was revealed, and grew up and came to maturity, which we also witnessed.
