Section 51

1When he had said this and finished speaking with us, he said to us again, “Behold, on the third day and at the third hour, he who sent me will come so that I may depart with him.”

2As he spoke, there was thunder, lightning, and an earthquake. The heavens parted, and a cloud of light appeared and carried him up. The voices of many angels came, rejoicing, singing praises, and saying, “Gather us, O Priest, into the light of the majesty.”

3When they drew near to the firmament, we heard his voice saying to us, “Depart from here in peace.”
