Section 50

1Those who hate such things, love me, and rebuke those who do not fulfill my commandments will be hated, persecuted, despised, and mocked. People will deliberately say false things about them and will band together against those who love me. But these will rebuke them so that they may be saved.

2They will hate those who rebuke, discipline, and warn them. They will cast them aside, despise them, and keep far away from those who wish them well. But those who endure such things will be like the martyrs with the Father, because they have striven for righteousness and not for corruption.

3We asked him, “Lord, will such things happen among us?”

4He answered us, “Do not fear. It will not happen among many, but among a few.”

5We said to him, “Then tell us how it will happen.”

6He said to us, “Another doctrine and confusion will arise. Because they strive for their own advancement, they will produce a worthless doctrine. In it there will be deadly corruption, and they will teach it. They will turn those who believe in me away from my commandments and cut them off from eternal life.

7But woe to those who falsify this word and commandment of mine, draw those who listen to them away from the life of the doctrine, and separate themselves from the commandment of life. Together with them, they will enter everlasting judgment.”
