Chapter 4

1There shall be signs when the kingdom approaches, such as these: after the famines, pestilences, and tumults among the nations, princes shall rise to power and rule who love money, hate the truth, kill their brothers, lie, hate the faithful, are proud, and love gold. They shall be allied by kinship but not in purpose, for each wishes to destroy the life of his fellow. In their armies there shall be great affliction, flight, and bloodshed.
