Section 28

1“But I have redeemed you, the children of light, all the more from every evil and from the authority of the rulers, and also everyone who believes in me through you. For what I have promised you I will also give to them, so that they may come out of the prison-house and the fetters of the rulers.”

2We answered, “Lord, you have given us the rest of life and, through wonders, have confirmed our faith. Will you now preach the same to us, since you preached it to the … and the prophets?”

3Then he said to us, “Truly I say to you, all who have believed in me and who believe in him who sent me I will take up into heaven, to the place my Father has prepared for the elect. I will give you the kingdom, the chosen kingdom, in rest and everlasting life.”
