Section 45

1We said to him, “Lord, you have revealed all this to us well.”

2Then he answered us, “Do you not understand these words?”

3We said to him, “Yes, Lord. By five shall people enter your kingdom … Nevertheless, those who kept watch were with you, the Lord and bridegroom, even though they did not rejoice because of those who had fallen asleep.”

4He said to us, “They will indeed rejoice because they entered with the bridegroom, the Lord. But they grieve for those who fell asleep, for they are their sisters. All ten are daughters of God the Father.”

5Then we said to him, “Lord, is it for you to show them favor for their sisters’ sake?”

6He said to us, “… but for him who sent me, and I agree with him.”
